...yes - I yelled out...well, he asked so I yelled out. So, he played Nettle Wine! Chatting to him afterwards he said "Oh Glynn...sorry mate (not that he knows me from Adam but it did wonders for my ego), I didn't hear you. And you know what, I had it on the play list too, and I dropped it." Thanks Ralph......pal.
It was a wonderful concert; he played and sang fantastically well and for encore he did Naomi, so I can forgive him anything. Oh, and we agreed that he'd play First Song next time :~)
First time I've been to The Lowry -- impressive! Cornbrook Station (aka The Dark Side) on The Met is set on a hill overlooking the whole of Manchester. This makes it a great place to see a seemingly endless display of aerial fireworks [judging by the fact that there were equal amounts of mortars/shells/rockets/other-assorted-ordnance going off when I changed trains on the way there as there were on the way back]. On the other hand, I think that axe murderers must get concessions on the trams after 10:45pm on a Saturday. Waiting for the Altrincham connection coming back provided an opportunity to drag knuckles with much of life's rich human and sub-human tapestry.
