Innsbruck Monday

I can't complain of course -- a few days in the S. Tyrol at this time of year are not to be sniffed at. Snow....like about a foot of it...had closed the Brenner on Sat. evening when I arrived so it was down to the train station and a surreal journey through the evening to Brixen to be rescued at the station and taken for one of the best meals I've had this year. Working and wandering yesterday....working and working today...and then a drive back to Innsbruck tonight. The Christmas Market here is tacky...well....there are at least 2 of them and it's a toss up which one has the more overpowering smell of glühwein. Wonderful - even the tacky bits...but especially the big christmas tree in the old market square. Then it started to snow again...so it's likely to be eyes down for full pants when the Airbus reaches V1 tomorrow morning...here's praying for a safe rotation and V2+30 before we reach the Inn River :~)
