I've been following Ivan's journey for over two years now. My inability to post something to him directly is symptomatic of my own inadequacies.

How can you not admire a man who writes:

[My oncologist has been superb in his ability to generate optimism in dark circumstances and to provide me with invaluable respite, as has his colleague my neurosurgeon, who has more than once pulled nasty lumps of cancer out of my head with astonishing skill.]

Suffice to say that he has made a real and measurable difference to my life and I shall miss reading and learning from his diary. Thank you -- wherever life leads you now my friend, travel easily.
